In memoriam
In memory of the beloved animals who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge

🌿 In Loving Memory of Our Sanctuary Souls 🌿
Some hearts beat a little differently—slower, softer, but just as full. Whether hooved or feathered, shaggy or sleek, each animal who finds refuge at a sanctuary brings something irreplaceable with them: quiet resilience, unexpected joy, and a reminder that every life matters.

We say goodbye not just to our animals, but to friends, teachers, and gentle spirits who helped us remember the beauty of simple moments—sun-warmed naps, shared snacks, nose kisses, and soft eyes full of trust.

They came from different places, carried different stories, and touched our lives in ways words can’t quite hold. But we do know this: they were loved. Deeply. And they left this world knowing safety, kindness, and connection.
Run free now, friends—your pasture has no fences. 🌈💚
Henry (2020-2025)

Henry was our very first official sanctuary member—the goat who started it all. His journey to us began with a phone call: a neighbor reached out to Steve, asking if we could take in a goat who was originally intended for meat. While we weren’t quite prepared to take on a resident yet, there were no other options. So, on a whim—joyfully and a little nervously—we said yes.

Henry spent his first days with us in the garage, where he was safe, warm, and, most importantly, loved. From the very beginning, he made it clear that this was where he belonged.
Henry’s favorite things were basking in the sunshine and shadowing Steve around the property. The bond between them was something special—Steve was, without question, Henry’s favorite person.

He may have come to us unexpectedly, but Henry left an unforgettable mark on our hearts. He was the beginning of something beautiful, and we’ll carry his spirit with us always.
River (2020-2025)
River was the fifth horse to join our sanctuary—an unexpected addition whose presence became unforgettable. Though there were no plans to take in another horse at the time, a close friend of Tasha's reached out, and we couldn’t say no.

She arrived to us underweight and fragile, but with time, care, and the peace of a safe home, River truly blossomed. A registered Quarter Horse (though papers never mattered here), River was all heart. She was endlessly sweet, adored being gently petted, and found true comfort in the companionship of the other horses.

River thrived in the warmth of the sanctuary and gave just as much love as she received. Her gentle spirit will always be part of this place, and she will be deeply missed.
